You meant to.Life got in the way.Never again.
The people you love deserve to feel remembered. We make sure they always do.
The Noise of Life
Every day, life hands you a list of things that feel urgent. And the people who matter most aren't on that list — not because you don't love them, but because love doesn't send you calendar reminders.
You meant to get something thoughtful for her birthday. The week got away from you. So you panic-bought a gift card at 11pm and told yourself you'd do better next time.
You know them. You know what makes them light up. You just never have the time to turn that into something real.
It's not that you don't care. It's that life doesn't leave much room for it.
We Remember So You Don't Have To
Tell Gift Guru who they are — what they love, what makes them light up. From there, we've got you.
We Track
Every birthday, anniversary, and date that matters. All of it, remembered. You'll never be caught off guard again.
We Remind
Not the night before. Early enough to actually do something meaningful — with time to spare and zero panic.
We Find
Gift Guru searches over 45,000 products, experiences, live events, flowers, and subscription boxes to find the one thing that makes them stop and say...
But here's the thing...
A gift isn't really about the thing itself. It's about the moment. The "you remembered." The "I can't believe you knew that about me." The look on their face when they realize someone actually paid attention.
The gift is just the vehicle. What you're really giving is presence. Attention. The feeling of being seen.
Never Miss a Special Moment™
How It Started
A couple years ago, we were trying to boost morale at work. We started something simple — a "Riddle of the Week." Whoever got it right won. But instead of handing out a generic prize, my wife came up with the idea to send the winner a short list of questions to get to know them better. Their interests, hobbies, personality, the things they loved.
Then we'd choose a gift based on what we learned.
And something unexpected happened. People didn't just like the gifts. They felt seen. The reaction was bigger than the reward itself. The thoughtfulness behind it stuck with me long after.
Fast forward to a few months ago. A friend came to me with an investment opportunity — an automated flower delivery service for busy guys who forget to send gifts to their wives. I told him no. Not because it was a bad idea. I'd actually used services like that before. But the market felt crowded. And at the time, I had something bigger on my mind — I had just found out my contract at work wasn't getting renewed.
Still, I told him I'd think about it. That night, I went home and talked to my wife.
"Flowers," I said. "Everyone does flowers. It's already been done."
Then I paused. "What if it was more than flowers?"
I slept on it. The next morning, the ideas started rushing. What if we could connect to Amazon? What if we could integrate Ticketmaster? What if we could recommend experiences, not just products? What if we could help people give gifts that actually meant something?
Then the name started forming. Foresight. Forget-me-nots. Forgive and forget. And then it landed.
"Forgift & Forget."
I said it out loud. My wife looked at me and said, "I like that." And just like that, Forgift & Forget™ was born.
But I didn't want to just walk away from my friend's original idea. So I called him back. "Listen," I said. "I don't want to invest in your site. But I want to build something bigger with you."
Because sometimes the best businesses aren't born from perfect plans. They come from real moments. From conversations. From uncertainty. From asking one simple question:
What if we could help people make the people they love feel truly seen?
